History in the walls
The årestove – the open-hearth house – goes back to the Viking Age: a dwelling heated and cooked in over an open fire, with a smoke hole in the roof.
The farm has two of them, witnesses to its ancient history. Come and see!

The house from 1665
Two old open-hearth houses stand on the farm. One, built in 1665, is furnished with tables and benches, a hearth and a wealth of old objects that belong to the farm.
It is used for social gatherings and is ideal for clubs and groups looking for something unique in a truly ancient setting. Among other things we host beer and whisky tastings, with a menu tailored to your group.

Old food traditions
The other house was the farm’s dwelling in the 1500s and 1600s. In recent years it has been used for smoking meat and brewing traditional Voss beer.
